Discarded
Posted on 03. Feb, 2010 by admin in blog
I am amazed at the amount of stuff we toss to the side in a discarded heap. When I find these heaps I photograph them. What also strikes me is that these seemingly simple objects, most likely once meant something to someone, somewhere in a more meaningful way – be it a pair of gold slippers, two sad and deflated balloons or a discarded baby stroller.
‘Discarded’ will be an ongoing project to showcase things that I find just laying around – be it in a dumpster, trashed on the street or just junk left sitting around to rust. Take a look around you on your way home from work or to the store. Junk is all around you, when you start to gather notes you start to really notice how much of it there really is.
These pictures are taken on my iPhone – a camera that I have handy 24/7. I’ll be working on various iPhone projects throughout the year in an effort to stay creative, sharp and to have fun documenting the world around me.

Hey,
stumbled upon here from a google search. I’m doing an alevel art project with the title discarded and the main idea of it is to take photos of discarded objects. Just a query do you mind if i use you as a research artist/inspiration for my work because i love your discarded images and you fit perfectly to my project.
If theres a copyright issue i understand but just thought i’d ask
